Rail Operations · European Intermodal Freight · Global Maritime & Intermodal Logistics
In 2011, I earned a degree in Economics, specializing in Commerce, from Budapest Business School (now Budapest University of Economics and Business). In 2014, I studied Automotive Engineering on a scholarship at Kecskemét College (now John von Neumann University). In 2021, I obtained my locomotive driver’s licence after completing my training at MÁV’s Baross Gábor Training Centre. During this period, my professional experience has spanned a wide range of roles, from operations to customer relations and many others in between.
Commercial and financial administration, followed by technical sales and customer relations at EMTC (now STÖBER Hungary). Experience in business processes, commercial responsibilities and customer-oriented operations.
Automotive manufacturing and warehouse logistics at Mercedes-Benz and Kuehne+Nagel, complemented by engineering studies and hands-on forklift operations. Practical insight into production processes, material flows and manufacturing supply chains.
Locomotive driving at MÁV, expanding my operational perspective beyond manufacturing and internal logistics to railway transport and the functioning of transport networks.
My professional interests are expanding from cross-border railway operations through European intermodal freight to the wider field of global maritime and intermodal logistics.
My website (https://peterbobal.com) provides a space to consolidate and share my knowledge in these fields. I also publish my railway-related reference materials here, including a technical glossary and independently compiled, unofficial operational guidelines and procedures.
